Product Code: TZR Price: Check Latest
The TZR is the same as 4007-06 - Wireless 900MHz Transceiver with RS232 Interface - Point Transceiver. It uses an embedded 100-milliwatt frequency hopping wireless modem that provides communication between the host and a network of remote HA6-900 1-Wire bus masters using an asynchronous serial RS232 DB-9 connection. The radio operates within the 900 MHz ISM Band under Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Regulations. The TZR can be used as a general purpose RS232 half duplex interface or as a host interface for a network of HA6-900 masters. The radio modem has been optimized for 9600 Baud operations, however the user can program the serial Baud rate for 1200-57,600 Baud. In support of EDS OneSix DDE and OPC servers, the TZR is shipped with the Baud rate set to 38,400 Baud and the radio address set to "0". The TZR can store up to 16 init AT command strings in onboard EEPROM for automatic initialization of the radio modem at power on. The user can read and modify the AT initialization strings. During the first 10 seconds after power is applied, the TZR sets the Baud rate to 9600 and looks for configuration commands at the RS232 serial port. If no valid configuration commands are received during this time, the TZR begins the process of initializing the radio modem with the EEPROM stored AT commands. The LED on the front panel will flash as each of the stored AT commands are sent to the radio modem. Note that the user need not store the break sequence "+++"; this is done automatically at the beginning of the initialization process. The front panel LED will go off for .5 seconds at the end of the initialization process to indicate success. If the TZR receives initialization commands during the 10-second period after power EEPROM read/write mode is enabled. Each command received while in this mode will protract the mode timeout period to 10 seconds. Read/write commands are supported while in EEPROM-read/write mode. Each of the 16 possible AT commands is stored in a separate page of the EEPROM. The initialization process starts with the AT command in page 0 and sends each until a null terminated command or the last page is reached. The pages are numbered from 0 to F (0-15).
